BOY, OH BOY!!
Our ultrasound went well today. It was so fun seeing the baby up close. It was especially fun to find out that JD is going to have a little brother! We are very excited and know that it will be fun for JD. Our ultrasound put me due January 2, so that means the baby is a little bigger than what we originally thought. Since the ultrasound, he has been bouncing all around in there. I think he's excited, too! We're not sure of his name yet, but when we decide we're going to keep it a secret. There has to be some surprise when he's born!! :) These pictures are of his profile and his cute little footprint! Enjoy!!

August Family Update
I can't believe it's already the 13th of August! Time sure flies during the summer.
We spent a fun week up at Shanty Creek with John's parents at their timeshare. We went to Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes, and Petoskey that week. It was fun! JD peed in the sand standing up for the first time on the beach in Petoskey. It was seriously so funny because he didn't realize what happened and then he looked at me like "what the heck??" He's becoming such a big boy.
After our week with John's parents, we went camping in the UP. We stayed at Tahquamen Falls for two nights. The first day we went to Pictured Rocks National Park, which was just beautiful! The second day we went to the upper and lower falls at Tahquamen. The next two nights we stayed in St. Ignace. Our campsite was right on Lake Huron with a beautiful view of the Mackinac Bridge. It was great, although JD did get some chigger bites, which freaked us out a bit because he looked like he had chicken pocks! Anyways, we visited Mackinac Island and the two forts and the sawmill. It was fun. I think the sawmill was my favorite part because I teach all that to my 4th graders. It was cool.
We then drove down to see my Uncle Ron in Muskegon. He is really sick with cancer. They have stopped chemo because he is just too weak and is having Hospice come in now. I hope he lives until our baby is born in January, but I'm afraid he will not. I just pray that he is not in pain, because he looks like he is.
Since we've been home, we've spent some time with my parents, Jeff, and Evie! We missed them! It sure has been a nice summer, but where oh where has the time gone?! John started coaching swimming again today and we both start back to school in a couple weeks. In the meantime, we'll be moving JD into his "big boy" room and getting things organized for him in his new space. We want to do it well before the baby is born so he doesn't remember being in the nursery and think that the baby took his place. I pray that transition goes well. I know it will probably be difficult for a few nights.
Tomorrow is our ultrasound. We've decided that if it's obivous what the sex is, then we want to know - otherwise we don't! I'll keep you posted! :)
